On Redmond’s 35 birthday, I was back in Woods Hole for a Transom festival, catching up with old friends from our time at the Transom Story Workshop in Spring of 2019. I remembered the person I was back then, and I thought of the time I met and got to know Red. He was kind, generous, a great listener, and singular. We ran errands, shared meals, talked about our mutual admiration of Scott Carrier. I’m remain forever grateful for that chapter of time.
